i had a feeling sergio wouldn't look good, and i think he wasnt fully serious with winning in style,i think he wanted to look bad so to sneakily draw in the opponents who dont want to fight him.

barker gave little to counter and work with,he didnt fight to win,and sergio looking bad will only help him get the cottos/chavez/alverez/sturms,to try and unify the divsions of middleweight.

barker can fight macklin and the fight a lesser world champion.i wish more fighters of more skill than barker would have barkers attitude to dare face and test themselves vs the best!.

Had a look back there, I don't see the ref looking for the timekeeper...not that i would have made any difference but i think the ref was hasty in his count

It'll be an incorrect argument. You'd basically be giving Barker credit for landing very little. Even Steward, who thought Barker had the right tactics but wasn't implementing them correctly, said he lost nearly every round!

No one has ever debated that. But let's also be clear that Barker came to spoil, not to fight. Hard to look good against that.

Clutching at straws as usual. If you lose every round and get knocked out then you haven't exposed anything.

    Nah.

I score clean punches. As in punches that land on the face, and not the gloves. Barker landed shots, clean jabs to the face, ones which scored. For much of the fight Martinez was just shoeshining Barkers gloves.

1 clean jab>>>>>5 shots on the gloves.

What happened to scoring on clean punching?

It's not "just" punches landed, it's clean punches and effective aggression. When Sergio landed he had more of an effect. Simple as that.

At the end of the day Barker was landing next to **** all. Clean or not. He was never letting his hands go enough to win the rounds.

So sick of Skys disgusting bias.Barker did really well but he still easily lost most rounds.Nelson then shits on Martinez saying he aint a P4P top fighter because he didnt look great against Barker and then Oliver then bigs up Barker and his Brit.Commonwealth,Euro titles.Shameful
