Last night undefeated Grzegorz Proksa (now 26-0-0 19KOs) won the vacant European MW title by beating Sebastian Sylvester. Sylvester was a world champ in his last fight losing only on a SD. Although Sylvester was never the best MW he is a world class MW.
Proksa only has a couple or deent names on his resume but has shown that he is willing to travel and looks like he could become a MW star.

If you didnt get to see him, have a look at last nights result

I knew a bit about him, but thought that he did a good away job. Nobody had beaten Sylvester like that before

Excellent performance by Proksa. Damn he looked like a seasoned veteran in there beating up and schooling Sylvester like that.

Props to Proksa and his team. Looking forward to seeing more of him.

A true talent right there. I've seen this since I first saw him. I think he's something special and it will show, unless he becomes too cocky or something. Thankfully, the guy is pretty intelligent which shows in his interviews. And he's 26 already, should have the worst "stupidity of youth" period behind him now. The best years shall come from now on.

    Here´s a better quality video:

Wish I could find the ring entrance. He was dancing like Roy. A supremely confident fighter but a gracious winner. Sylv was a gracious loser as well, raising Proksa´s hands several times and shaking his head when a few fans were booing.

Why is he saying Proska, its Proksa, easy to pronounce Proxa

I and IB made this point earlier. Its counter intuative to pronounce Proksa as ¨Proska¨ instead of ¨Proxa¨ and yet Bunce and his whole damn studio kept doing it like a bunch of illiterate kindergarten children. Dwayer was doing it too in his fight prediction. I chalk it up to Anglo laziness with foreign names. But as soon as you´d think they butcher the names because they are long and relatively complicated, they **** up the two syllable ones as well. Proksa (Golota and Adamek too for that matter) are as easy Polish names as you´ll ever get.

BTW. watch the German commentators. They pronounce it right and even get the first name correctly. Its only a matter of doing one or two minutes of research. Surely, its worth a commentators time since they are going to be saying it on national TV.

Yeah.. quite a ridiculous mistake, quite a disgrace for the commentator.

BTW it's almost exactly like with the "ask" - "aks" mistake... Just the other way around.

Except that´s not considered a mistake in North America, only a ¨cultural difference¨
