How can anyone not like Floyd?

He is a great fighter who, unlike all others, uses his skills. He has beaten top fighter. Top fighter, man. People forget how good top fighter was. He was tops. Floyd couldn't beat him. He beat him.

    Duran by comfortable decision.

It'd be an amazing fight to watch.

No one fancy making a case for Arguello? How does Duran handle a master of range with powerful counters and the tall man's uppercut?

I think Duran takes it on the basis of what happened to Arguello against Olivares. He had some success with a vaguely similar style. I think the cholo of DeJesus III would close the distance quickly, stick and move, and slowly open up his man and break it down by KO sometime in the late rounds. And i'm saying this as an Arguello advocate.

The problem for Arguello is Duran's incredible ability to mix offense with defence (perhaps no one did it better). Which means he would find it easier then most to get in Arguello's grill and start digging bodyshots home. His head movement and handspeed before he became spotty is just so underrated. People think of Duran as a pressure fighting animal, but he had all the nuances. I just can't see how Arguello wins this. This version of Duran (1976-80) is probabily top 6/7 P4P ever.
