Andy Lee, why is he so pointless & boring

Barlow, who are you describing in your OP, Andy Lee or yourself?

 

You are harsh. I wouldn't say he doesn't have power. I haven't seen last nights fight but I will say (based on seeing him before) that Andy Lee has horrible reflexes, head movement, and defensive ability. He also doesn't have the footwork to keep him consistently at a distance that makes use of his physical advantages at the weight. He will fall short of being a good world titlist. He could pickup a paper title though (not hard at all nowadays).

Decent fighter and maybe could improve a lot and prove us wrong..........

 

He had great movment, hand speed and the way he found them gaps with his uppercut was great. You dont need power if you have tecnique and good accuracy with combos to knock people off ballances and put them down.

 

to be fair,he was sat in front of him willing him to hit him,he fights with his face,his defence was woefull,his footwork awfull,you could see his wild swings from blackpool tower,but yet,lee still got caught.
again,he is decent,decent jab,decent left,ok power,but nothing special,world class,maybe boarderline:deal

 

ok,i get it,he is irish,the irish love him,****,if i look back,i bet ive got some irish in me,somewhere,or maybe one of my relitives have been to ireland,so that kinda makes me irish.

One thing you can't label Lee with is having no power. His head movement is ****ing terrible though, he is as stiff as a board. It's as if his neck muscles don't move.

Wouldn't say he's boring or featherfisted, I think he makes for pretty good fights in the right circumstances because he's easy to hit and okay offensively himself.

Obviously not really a top fighter due to the above problem and I think last night was a combination of some improvements/adjustments by Lee and Vera on the downslope.

 

Lee seems ready to move up in class. They seem to be treating him kid gloves a bit.

How many more fights before he takes on a Macklin or a Barker?

 

Vera has terrible footwork and balance.
