what you see is what you get with him. Reminds me of Freitas who started as a boxer puncher and developed a brawling style. he will go as far as his power and punch resistance allows him, but he is bound to get koed again

Nobody cares about JuanMa since he lost, didn't you know? People around here are awfully fickle.

Keep up! He won by KO last night. But still.... I know.
But true boxing fans continue to analize boxer careers. Only groupies forget about a boxers after only one loss

He was never beating Gamboa anyway. The kid's too macho for his own good. He thinks he's got a better chin than he does, for some reason.

He is what he is. A pressure fighter who relies on his power. You can't change him now. He is exciting but he keeps getting hit and gets wild.

Agreed...what we've been seeing from JuanMa is the best he'll ever look. His defense is way too leaky.

yeah spot on. Im just disappointed because over here we all thought he would be the next big superstar, even better than cotto but we were wrong.
I think the future is Jose pedraza, thats the one

Yeah, maybe I was giving him too much credit  JuanMa seems stubborn. I doubt he'll ever search out a new world-class trainer or show a willingness to change his style. We'll just have to enjoy his fan-friendly all action style while he's around.

Meh, he is what he is. Like a low rent Gatti. Fights his ass off but is probably going to come up short in the big ones.

I like Lopez, hes fun to watch but hes not a fighter I'd lay a bet on ever.

I still think Gamboa/Lopez is a good fight.

Damn, had high hopes for him, thought he would've change his style and box a little more, after last night I believe that Salido beats him again

Lopez is a fun fighter to watch. He never plays it safe and always looks to bring the action. But his defense is so lacking, and his 'B' game non-existent, that he's destined for Palookaville. He'll be stuffing burgers down his gullet with Ricky Hatton in a few years.
