Darren barker and eddie hearn

    They both showed how to handle themselves with class in the aftermath of a devastating loss. How barker found the composure to thank the British public in the moments following his loss I'll never know.
    And how great it must be for barker to have a promoter who stood by him straight after a loss publicly stating he'd get him another world title fight straight away.
    God save the ****ing queen.

    Pure class the both of them

    I don't see any reason for Barker to be downhearted. He did better than most expected, he showed some skills and maturity. He might lack the hand speed or power to beat a guy like Sergio, but fights with Macklin, Lee, Chavez Jr, Manfredo, etc are all winnable and entertaining fights for him.

    It's good that he has a grown up promoter behind him.

    I'll +1 this.

    Also, when Barker smashed Sergio on the nose (4th?), Hearns jumped up and looked like ge wanted to get in the ring to help finish him off :lol:

    good for british boxing matchroom getting back to being big players in the sport eddies a breath off fresh air seems a genuine fan aswell as buisness man

    I'm loving Hearn right now. Best promoter in the game.

    You can tell he's into the sport (just the way he was jumping up and down all through the fight) and he's been delivering for his fighters.

    Froch even gets on TV now he's with Hearn!

    Got a lot of time for Eddie's style of promoting, been a breath of fresh air.

    Thought his twitter comment was a great touch too.

    "I am the proudest promoter in the World tonight..Darren put in one hell of a performance.He is totally devastated but put it all on the line"

    I echo the comments about both men.
    Barker has nothing to be ashamed off and should have some tasty fights lined up in the future.
    Hearn really is a breath of fresh air, good talker, smart brain and he loves the sport of boxing. He actually does a bit of training with his fighters too doesn't he?
