He punches Ortiz and moves his foot to the right and plants it so when he comes back up, he's not in the same spot for Ortiz to counter. Try it yourself if you're coordinated enough to do it. Throw a right hand and then move your right foot over to the right some while you are slipping under and tell me if your head ends up at the same spot.
Thank you for common sense. Martinez has swagger, it's a part of his style. At the same time, he was doing it to a much greater extent against Barker to clearly get him out of his shell. Martinez changed tempo, went to the body, and was more offensive when he needed to be.
