So Mundine fighting for the interim world title in a few weeks, looks like the thread is correct then.

WBA Super Champion: Miguel Cotto.
WBA Regular Champion: Austin Trout.

Alvarez is ranked about #4 and Mundine #1, and they are fighting for the right to be Trout's next challenger for the regular title.

I am no nut hugger, I could care either way, but the thread title is not mundine will fight for a recognised first tier title, so the title would appear to be a fait accompli? Am i missing something, has the thread title been changed?

The Alvarez vs Mundine fight is purely to establish who'll challenge Trout for the WBA regular junior middleweight title - nothing more :yep.
