I think this is the right step in going up in competition for Alvarez

Paul isn't the most skilled fighter but would be the best Saul has faced

I went with Alvarez by decision but that is a scary fight for Canelo at this point that is probably to dangerous especially for a rising star like Canelo.

I'd like to see what he does against Cintron first. I don't know if that fight is a done deal yet though, and I'm not sure what Cintron has left, but at his best he may be able to stop Canelo even. That could be a good fight in itself, but who knows what Cintron shows up.

After seeing the Gomez fight i bet Williams would out work him and Alvarez would be less busy throw less punches and be confused

Gomez gave him a little D and some jabbing and Alvarez looked average

if Williams throws 80 to 100 a round Alvarez will be so off set i feel

Paul has been exposed big time, you can beat him if you have some good boxing skills and an overhand left, sure he's the best Alvarez has faced but Williams has been found out. I don't think Alvarez KO's Williams, but it's possible.

    Exposed big time ?
They exposed a weakness in him that southpaws can take full advantage of. Overhand left.
Martinez got completely exposed. Same pattern all the time and Barker showed what tools can be used to beat him.

A Year ago I would say the Punisher by a land slide. Now he looks like his best is past him...

Paul Williams is ****ing done, thanks to that piece of **** Peterson the man is going to most likely end up brain damaged and living on the street if he keeps fighting.

Saul Alvarez would beat him to a pulp.

If Canelo wants a real challenge he should fight Lara.

Paul Williams would be a tough fight simply because he is awkward...Tall, Lanky, high workrate, and can shrink to 154 easy....But PW has always been overrated...

Alvarez is the better technician, more power, quicker hands, and is fresher.

At 147 there was nothing overrated about P-Williams, he beat Margo and was frozen out of the division completely.

He went up to 154 and dominated Winky.

He was no joke, but he never got better and people figured him out.
