Roach is right. Ortiz was fighting the right strategy. I even said that before the fight.

Floyd did what he had to do. Impressive? not really. Effective? hell yea.

 

Freddy has no problems with his fighters cheating to try to win. In fact, he encourages it.

Headbutts are illegal for a reason. Didn't expect Roach to say something like this. Roach has Parkinson's, which has also been linked to damage taken during a boxers career...he especially should not condone this type of behaviour in a boxing ring.

So we can expect everyone who steps in the ring with Mayweather now to headbutt him? I mean, that's classed as roughing him up now.

LOL that's a crock of ****. Mayweather didn't wave him over with his hands open like lets hug. Mayweather could have even struck him then right before the hug as soon as he entered his space if he wanted to. Mayweather was ready to fight right then but adapted to the hugging Ortiz wanted to do.

its a fight...besides i think with that magnitude of a fight, a second headbutt wont DQ ortiz....

roach just saying throw mayweather of his game and maybe you will get a chance to win....

 

I am not sure why you didn't expect it. Freddie Roach is a **** talking dude from the old school. The only difference in him and Roger is that Roach don't cuss as much and hasn't been in trouble for hitting a woman.

I dont think what Floyd did as a response was wrong either.

I dont know why so many people overlook the fact that as Ortiz went to hug him a second time when Cortez drew them back together after taking the point away, that floyds whole body language showed him pulling away from Ortizs hug and was simply wanting to get back to beating the **** out of Ortiz for what he had just done to him.:deal
