I'd put Peterson just ahead of him; plus the fact that Matthyes' recent form on paper doesn't look the best.

We're not mongs who take Boxrec's word for everything though are we? At least I'm not anyway. Matthysse beat Alexander, anyone with 2 eyes can see that, and you can make a pretty good case for him beating Judah as well. Compare that to what Peterson has achieved... which is what? The win over Cayo? Drop your agenda and look at the facts and it will become a lot clearer.

Judah was a good fight, it's not Amir's fault that Zab lost interest as soon as he realised he had to take risks.

Peterson... hmmm, he's a good fighter with a lot of guts and a pleasant style to watch, but I don't think he's got the tools to make a fight of this. He's not massively fast or powerful, he doesn't have the reach to negate Khan's speed with his timing, and he's too small to out-muscle Khan.

It's a slightly pointless fight, IMO, since I'd say there are very few technical reasons to pick Peterson here. But there aren't many others at 140 and the 147 landscape is a bit weak too.

What would beating up the shell of Mosley (who could still put Khan's lights out, btw) achieve? He's looked dreadful three fights in a row and it's an appalling fight. Berto's ****.

Khan should look to fight Ortiz, which creates a storyline for a match with Mayweather. But that's a guaranteed loss there, so I'm not sure what Khan or Roach are thinking other than $$$. Or Roach will be thinking it lets him get a closer look at Mayweather and sets up a storyline with Manny, post-Marquez.

You think Khan will beat Mayweather?

Or are you thinking I meant Ortiz? Truthfully I think Ortiz could easily beat Khan.

I think Khan has Ortiz's number... he doesn't always seem to cope well mentally, and if Khan can flurry him frequently he may well get frustrated. But then again Ortiz could well land a few decent shots and hurt Khan. I can genuinely see this fight happening in the future.

What a fascinating piece of fiction. Try harder - what TECHNICALLY wins Khan this fight?

Ortiz is a headcase, but he's a good puncher, has fast hands and has better footwork than Khan. There are certain things he does that will make this a very dangerous fight for Khan.

It must really hurt bad the way Khan has managed to get his career back on track to such an extent he is a unified champion & considered to be, if not number 1, then number 2 at 140lbs. Even his most fervent supporters, like Lazarus, concede that Khan is still developing and is far from Mayweather's level. As for Ortiz, that fight will happen and Victor will quit just as he did in the amateurs :deal

Personally, I'd like to see Khan re-match against Presscott but that fight is being saved for when Mayweather beats his arse...

    What are you talking about?

    What hurts?

I'm no fan of Khan, but I think he's put together a pretty impressive record recently.
