Really looking forward to Ward embarrassing Froch, the guy is p4p material only in his own mind. Oh, and Hopkins definitely schools Froch, no controversies. :deal
Just watch the fight in slow motion and count the punches.............not that difficult - but hey i don't mind if you don't care - no boxing fans seems to care anyway. The agenda seems to be that "Haye acted like **** before the fight and deserved to lose" :verysad
Messages saying they can't score the fight for Calzaghe even under bias make me laugh. Hopkins lost this fight because he literally threw less than 15 punches in 8 of the rounds against a guy who throws 40-60 punches a round minimum. That's why he lost this fight. He has no one else to blame than that.
As for people judging on effective punching, I know plenty of guys in the gym who throw a technically better shot than me, a faster shot, a stronger shot yet none of them would beat me in a fight. Why? Because they don't understand distance, they're afraid of being hit, they can't defend themselves when they're throwing and they don't have my workrate. It's not about being pretty, it's about being effective and you'll never be effective against a swarming southpaw when you're inactive. You either need to match them shot for shot or stop them mid shot the way Floyd does. Hopkins knows he lost that fight because unlike the Taylor fights where he refused to acknowledge them at all, he's said in interviews "I'm 11-1 against Southpaws..." even if he feels he could have beaten Calzaghe, he knows on the night he didnt;'
I have watched the fight in slow mo. Haye landed two decent shot during the fight (3th round and 12th round). Both where looping rights. Apart from that Wlad made him miss all night. Wlad landed at least three heavy straight rights that had Hayes head flying backwards. He also landed some stiff jabs and a whole bunch of grazing jabs and rights. The only agenda here is sticking to the real world. And since you are floating away from it you needs to be pulled back in.
You are an Internetnet poster. Joe was a champ with 46-0 against pro boxers, some of them world class, and the judges that scored the fight has it as an occupation. You going to tell those people what pro boxing is all about? Typical ESB-logic. In reality BHOP landed a good one in the first round, but later in the fight he landed **** all. But since the KD sticks in the mind of the poster (you) it is taken for granted that BHOP labded better throughout the fights Just as when people say that Haye landed the harder shots during the Wlad vs Haye fight thanks to the windmill right he conneceted with in the 12th. You are sounding so desperate :| Joe fought BHOP in America with American judges. Outslapped the slick BHOP and the legendary Roy Jones who covered up in fear. Greates slapper of all time. :hey
I think most people who value punches landed above all else when it comes to scoring criteria believe that Hopkins won the fight clearly. I'm certain that when this fight is examined by historians/critics in the future, it will be chalked down as yet another fight where the judges called it wrong in an era of workrate-obsessed fans and officials.
:roflatsch Are you sure you're not the infamous Diminata? This is the exact kind of nonsense he'd write essays about.
Yes the judges are professional and this is their occupation. One of them believe like so many fans that Bhop won the fight.
