One of the reasons many people see the no show of talent in the U.S heavy weight division is due to the fact that people aren't bred into boxing nowadays vs the past, and that they use their talents and skills for other sports. Many great fighters come from Mexico because that is their sport (besides soccer) and they do this from the start. If Football and Basketball didn't take the youth of America into that route and they went to boxing instead, who do you see that could/would make great boxers, based on speed, length, athleticism, strength, etc. Feel free to post on different weight classes as well, doesn't have to be only heavyweight I know for a fact the heavyweight division for the U.S would be better if you took some of the stars from the NFL and trained them from the start. Ex: I think if Stephen Jackson of the Rams or Patrick Willis of the 9ers or Troy Polamulo of the steelers or Clay Matthews from the packers could be beasts in the squared circle if they laced up and trained from the start. I'll even go on a limb and say Lebron (which would b dummy tall) might be able to do something mainly because of his natural size and ability. Again, this is only hypothetically speaking and based on the fact of their size, talent, and making this their number 1 sport. Who else yall got
Well it might sound obvious but im sure theres plenty of guys in the ufc who would have been boxers years ago
yeah and all englands middle-weights are playing football, all our lightweights are horse-racing and our lhw are all playing rugby, whaaaaa whaaaaaaa whaaaaa
How about John Smith from somewhere in London? He is 6'6', natural athelete. Or Sanjay Somethingstupid from Bangalore? He has mad skills too. Or any of around 2 Billion other men worldwide who would be of appropriate age? But all these guys are using their POTENTIAL skills for something else. You see where this is going?
James Harrison could have been a monster, he also have that badass/killer mentality that people like to see.. Adrian Peterson, remarkable toughness.. Calvin Johnson, Tall and athletic, would easily be the best athlete in the HW division. Ben Roethlisberger, Made of steel and has alot of arm strength.
yeah but can they box? brock lesnars a massive athletic guy i say if he trained for ten years as a pro he wouldnt be anymore than a domestic level fighter. ahahha could you see vitali in the nfl!!!!
Vitali would be a monster as a defensive end :good.. seriously, we will never know if any of these could have been boxers, or if Vitali(in this case) would have any skills getting around an O-line.. But, Vitali definitely has the mindset and physical caliber to be a DE.. The same can be said about the NFL players i mentioned, if they converted to boxing...
