    Only the sensible ones dismissed Senior as a lunatic.

    Not just the Floyd fans, but Floyd himself! Jumping up and down ringside like a school girl when Pac was beating Morales.

    Yeah, I agree, dude. I think Floyd has a great chance of beating him at 154.

    Oh, and I didn't know he weighed 170 in the past. Who was this against?

    nah if you are following the events, floyd sr, floyd jr. and his whole camp including GBPs had went to the media route accusing pacquiao of using PEDs before and during the negotiations.

    see this is what i mean when i say floyd has no real fans.

    nobody and i mean NOBODY likes watching boring fighters.

    the ones who pretend to like floyd are really only fans of rappers such as fiddy cent and that never was harlem hot boy p reala, they think just because floyd hangs out with them its cool to support him.

    none of these bitches really truly like watching floyd fight, who does?

    Here's what you wrote;

    "I agree. It is pathetic. Just like Floyd fans hating on Pacquiao and calling him a cheat only when Pac became a likely opponent for Floyd."

    So I guess I would have to extrapolate from this that you believe that people who are a fan of Mayweather are, in general, without any sense. I think you're confusing a vocal minority with the general consensus.

    Fair enough. I can understand you raising this concern. No one wants be lumped in the same boat as Bladgunner and Michigan Warrior. I'll correct it.

    Funny you forget to mention it was actually 170 he was offered the Hopkins fight at. Not 165.

    Actually i think he said he would fight any of the 168 champions at 164.

    I don't think they're required to fight there, but I think it certainly makes it completely justifiable for those who currently fight or can fight at that weight to say their names. It's not simply a matter of Martinez calling out two random welterweights to come all the way up to middleweight. In the case of the 154 offer, he's calling out two guys who held the exact same belt as him at a weight class they've held belts at and that's exactly in the middle of where they currently fight. I believe we're in complete agreement that no one needs to move up or that a refusal to move up by anyone named in this thread constitutes a duck of any kind. I just also don't think Martinez is hypocritical for offering to go to 154 or 150 yet not wanting to move to 170 for Hopkins (I'm also dubious as to whether Hopkins could go down much beyond 170 if he could even make that weight. He didn't offer 168 to Bute even though that's clearly the fight he wants the most right now).

    That wasn't your initial justification for ignoring the 165 though. You framed it as Martinez purposefully trying to cut weight and make himself look smaller for that fight, so it cannot somehow represent his "true" in-ring weight. Yet that theory is just as much a matter of speculation as whether Mayweather or Pacquiao have ever gone beyond 150. I don't really mind using 168 as a baseline; his average fight night weight across his four middleweight bouts is 167.5. I just think using an average like that makes more sense than simply dismissing what he weighed in his last fight outright or taking the maximum (which is actually 170 vs Dzinziruk, BTW).

    Belts don't really mean that much to me, and Pac/Floyd having just one fight up there doesn't really detract me from the fact that they are genuine 147 and below fighters. And Hopkins willing to cut for Martinez and not Bute, is probably because Martinez is clearly the smaller guy coming from two weight divisions below. Bute, if I remember correctly, has in the past planned to move up to 175 soon. Maybe Hopkins is just waiting for him to come up once he [Bute] has settled business at 168.

    Sorry, I should have bothered to mention that. I do think we should stick by weights that we do know, then. If Martinez is 167.5 across his last four fights, I think Pacquiao will approximately be 148 across his, and with Mayweather, we're not entirely sure.

    But what the heck, we're argueing over one or two (even 0.5!) pounds, here. At least we can agree that none of the parties involved should be criticized for not wanting to fight people that are two weight divisions bigger than them.
