Martinez is a hypocrite, sure. We all know that he has no interest in fighting at a higher weight yet criticizes smaller fighters for not moving up to face him. It's indeed an act of desperation that makes him look bad.

It's just a shame at there are very few names in the division that Martinez can make good money with. And perhaps the biggest money generator at 160 (Chavez Jr., who incidentally possesses the title that Martinez was stripped of) seemingly has zero interest in facing him.

I noticed Sergio weighed less than usual. Maybe he is trying to come down in weight for a catchweight fight. Although we saw a not so great Sergio show up Saturday.

 

i think lou dibella would be able to talk martinez into fighting hopkins. lou and benard hate each other and it's a way for dibella to stick to hopkins if martinez really beats hopkns.

martinez wants a payday, thats why he is talking **** about getting down to 150 lbs, no ****ing way. He is also not big enough for the supermiddlweight division. He is a middleweight who can fight at jr. middleweight. Its just now that the fights at middlweight don't genereate enough money and the fights at supermiddleweight is not enough risk/reward. Its easy to pick on smaller fighters to get easy wins, floyd has been doing it for years.
