Hahahahahahahaha Michael Spinks I take it? It's certainly not Leon or Cory? If you think Michael Spinks is better than Floyd Mayweather in terms of skill or ring accomplishments, then you are simply out of your ****ing mind. Spinks was an excellent 175lber but he caught Holmes when he was spending more time fishing than fighting and lost the rematch by at least three or four rounds (**** the judges). Spinks then **** his pants against Tyson. Better than Mayweather? Please **** off!atsch
Do you honestly believe that Floyd Mayweather has NO CHANCE against either of them in their respective primes? Name one fighter, either of them defeated, that is head and shoulders above Floyd Mayweather? If Floyd ain't top ten, he's damn close to it. Undefeated and a champion in five weight classes is remarkable and it's breaking news when the guy takes a direct hit. Forget how much he annoys you and look at the facts!
If Money beats Martinez @160lbs, Pac @147lbs, & Khan @147lbs (with Khan going on to prove himself as a future unified champ @147lbs)... then retires 45-0, he would have a decent argument for such supreme greatness.
My top 30 as it stands 1. Harry Greb 2. Ray Robinson 3. Henry Armstrong 4. Sam Langford 5. Roberto Duran 6. Ezzard Charles 7. Bob Fitzsimmons 8. Ali 9. Willie Pep 10. Joe Gans 11. Joe Louis 12. Benny Leonard 13. Barney Ross 14. Archie Moore 15. Tony Canzoneri 16. Pernell Whitaker 17. Sugar Ray Leonard 18. Jimmy Wilde 19. Sandy Sadler 20. Marvin Hagler 21. Barbarous Joe Walcott 22. Tommy Hearns 23. Julio Cesar Chavez 24. Manny Pacquiao 25. Jimmy Bivins 26. Charley Burly 27. George Foreman 28. Edna Jofre 29. Ted Kid Lewis 30. Carlos Monzon And there's still at least another 10 fighters i'd have in front of Mayweather
No I think he can beat some of them h2h but that doesnt make him rank higher, also said you could make a case for the guy being on some bottom place of the list. Its not hating just others have accomplished more than he did, there is nothing wrong with that, just proves that boxing has had many great fighters.
Yes is a top-10 all time great. The man hasn't even been beaten yet.... and Pacquiao (who a lot of people have as the number one pound for pound fighter in the world) is too scared to call him out. Floyd wants to fight Pacquiao more than Pacquiao wants to fight Floyd.
George Foreman, JCC, Jofre, Lewis, Bivins, Sadler, Walcott, ahead of Roy Jones Jr? Get the **** out of here. Roberto Duran ahead of Ali, and Louis? Go **** yourself. Whitaker ahead of Leonard? Again go **** yourself.
Out of the 100 years of boxing, you dont just make a list off the top of your head. Try months of research.
Anyone who thinks he is does not know anything about the history of boxing. The guy's best win is probably Chico Corrales FFS!
Gotta go with this..Simply no chance any mordern fighter could duplicate what these guys did..At one time,SRR was 142-1..Pep had something like 200+ fights?? If we comparing skill-for-skill,then yes there's few who could get in..Money May might just crack it if he fights Manny or Maravilla..IMO hecan do it..but I guess we'll nevr find out.
Spinks has a perfectly valid case to rank clear of Mayweather. Michael Spinks beat the other top guns in the best lhw generation of the modern era, then jumped from 175 to hw and beat the 48-0 ATG hw champ Larry Holmes. Spinks-Holmes 1 is sooooooooooooo much better than any win on Mayweather's res, and he beat some top quality lhw's to assert his superiority there before that. The only thing Mayweather has over him is longevity really. It's a toss-up, but I go with Spinks, he proved himself more vs tougher fighters. You're an imbecile to react the way you have, the question isn't Mayweather or Frank Bruno, it's Mayweather or the greatest lhw since Charles and Moore who also toppled the hw kingpin of the world!!!
