Barrera will be more than fine when he has retired. Owns a host of hotels in Mexico City, has his own Gym, and his family were wealthy to begin with.
He made more money after boxing then he made during boxing. He actually went broke and thats why he came back. After finally retiering he got some luck with the Grilling industry and it snowballed from there.
I didn't know that Calz retired with that much! Damn joe! I wonder how much he got for the Hopkins and RJJ fights?
Lennox Lewis springs to mind, especially when his chief rivals are broke. others seemingly: SRL George Foreman Ricky Hatton Arturo Gatti was. SNV De La Hoya Bernard Hopkins will be.
Kessler, Hopkins and Jones was his biggest pay days i assume.. Many people is accusing Zaghe for going after Jones late in his career, but hell, why not? It was a good pay day for him and an easy win.. Lewis did the same thing with Tyson, even tried to lure him into a rematch
That is entirely due to the Grill money and his comeback somewhat. And to imagine he wasn't even the first person they contacted about sponsoring the Grills.
They actually went to Hulk Hogan first but he turned them down saying it would never make money. That grill made George a millionaire and launched his empire of big and tall clothing. Larry HOlmes is doing well. Micheal Spinx is still wealthy Lennox Lewis is doing well Paul Williams is supposedly doing well (hopefully he retires) Oscar De La Hoya
i know larry holmes is still very wealthy,, he owns appartments, buildings, nightclubs and half of his hometown. all this despite being involved with don king. lennox lewis is doing well also, lives in montego bay, jamacia. but lennox has always been a quiet sensible guy, not into partying, drink, drugs, women, so that explains it a bit.
