You mean retire at 65 or retire as a boxer at 40? It's one thing to have a million in the bank when you're going to live another 10-15 years if you already live a relatively modest life. It's another thing entirely to make a million last 35-40 years. That's only $25,000 a year for the rest of your life!

Oscar owns the entire office tower that the GBP office is in and the parking structure next to it. Outright. In downtown LA, one of the most expensive business districts in the world.

On ESPN radio here in LA he was asked about buying the Dodgers. He said he would love to head an investment group and put a bid together. That's serious money.

Exactly. If I retire in my mid to late 50s with my house paid off and close to a million, I'm set. At 35-40, no way. Unless, perhaps you move to the South, buy a house for 50k and shop at Walmart for everything.

Floyd did it twice, and he will do this at least one more time.

    Calzaghe

    Foreman

    De la hoya

the list goes on an on, there are many. Typically Boxers are very smart people. The amount of famous boxers pissing theyre money up the wall and ending up with nothing, just end up with alot more coverage from the media. Not to say there arent many who dont waste they dough. And there will be many more...

I'm willing to bet that doesn't last long. Within 10 years we will hear more IRS problems for Floyd.

I don't wish the man ill, but I work in lending and people with bad spending habits always end up needing another infusion of cash.

I dont want to sound like a financial advisor here, but I will lol. If you put 1m dollars in an annuity at 7%, you will have 70k per year just in interest for the rest of your life.

Hulk and Foreman at the time had the same agent/rep/pr they went to each and offered two products....Hulk didn't return the rep's call because he was running errands (picking up kid from school or something like that) Foreman was on board and committed, by the time Hulk got in touch with rep, all what was left was some Bull**** Blender type of thing, he made like 45,000 on that, Foreman 600 million

Well I wouldn't put it beside Hogan to lie his ass off for more attention.

Vargas is doing well, I hear he is a promoter.
Jermaine Taylor was supposedly doing well
Ken Norton was doing well, until the car accident but his son took care of him
