Again, you clearly have not actually read my post. You seem to have assimilated the academic habit of asking for sources (which is good), but you don't seem to be thinking critically about the information that you get from those sources.

We knew at the outset of this debate that the Egyptian pyramids were pointy and the Mesoamerican pyramids were not. Somehow, you think that labeling pointy pyramids "true" pyramids somehow makes them more sophisticated. The real world doesn't work that way, because in the real world, words refer to things. You can't relabel something and thereby change what it is.

For instance, what if I decided to call all step pyramids "Truer" pyramids? Would that make them better? No. It's a word.

If you can't understand what I'm saying, let's try this from another angle: What makes a "true" pyramid more sophisticated than a step pyramid?

That is not only a logical failure (since you're missing a few premisses there), but a practical one.

Imagine that I said, "The Ziggurat of Ur is more advanced than the Great Pyramid, which proves that the Sumerians were better". You correctly point out that the Great Pyramid is taller, built of stone, and much bigger. I reply by saying "The Ziggurat of Ur is a ziggurat, and the Great Pyramid is a pyramid. Therefore, no comparisons can be made between them." Silly, isn't it?

My source distinguishes the various Pyramid types. If you take issue with the way my source classifies different types of Pyramids -again you are free to refute it. Just remember to cite the relevent evidence.

My source also says point blank that Step Pyramids are earlier in the evolutionary process than True Pyramids. If your argument is that Step Pyramids and True Pyramids are equally complex then please cite your evidence.

You may call them whatever you like. Unfortunately you're not an authority on Pyramids.

Now, if you wish to debate the racial affinities of Ramses the Great and Egyptians in general then I would love to accomodate you. However, you'll have to do better than youtube videos and Wikipedia articles. You'll need to cite some credible sources on the subject. Youtube and Wikipedia have **** for credibility.

A strawman argument inaccurately caricatures the other person's reasoning. I haven't done that. You've walked yourself into two traps of your own making:

(1) You seem to think that calling one group "true" pyramids because they're pointy makes them somehow completely different from step pyramids. So different that you can't compare them at all, even though they both look pretty similar to any neutral observer.

(2) You've confused "earlier in time" with "much more sophisticated". It's up to you, not me, to show that the pointy Egyptian pyramids were vastly more sophisticated than step pyramids, as you claim. All you've shown is that they came second.

So let's try this one more time: What features, aside from the name you call them, make the Egyptian pyramids much more sophisticated than the Mesoamerican pyramids?



PS: If you continue to believe #1, then I automatically win. I'll explain if you insist, but I'd prefer to let you figure it out.

The source I quoted uses the terms "Step Pyramid" and "True Pyramid". If you have a problem with those terms then you need to cite evidence as to why those terms are problematic.

If it's your argument that Cholulo and Giza are "pretty similar" then you need to cite the evidence which says as much.

And BTW, "neutral observers" are not autorities on Pyramid design. If you want to make a point regarding any similarity between the "Step" and "True" pyramid designs, please cite a credible source on the subject.

The source I quoted cleary states that the "Step Pyramid" is earlier in the evolutionary process than the "True Pyramid" - therefore no comparions can be made between the two. Quite simply, the Egyptians evolved to the "True Pyramid" stage whereas the Mesoamericans did not.

The very fact that the Giza Pyramids are "True Pyramids" and are later in the evolutionary process than "Step Pyramids". Seeing as the Mesoamericans never evolved to the "True Pyramid" stage, no comparisons between Cholula and Giza can be made. Cholulo is earlier in the evolutionary stage of Pyramid architechture.
