He obviously emphasized prime as it mean't something.

I most definitely believe Clottey would have won if he didn't hurt his hand and it was pretty obvious what I mean't. Clottey was making Margarito pay for his mistakes(falling into his punches) before he hurt his hand and stopped as doing so after. Unless Margarito changed his whole style of fighting I don't believe the fight would have changed much as Clottey isn't someone who is going to get bruised and cut up, he is very strong with a tight defense.

I said Cotto didn't have the power to keep Margo off and neither does Mayweather. Difference is Cotto also doesn't have the reflexes or quickness in his movements or feet to consistently make Margo miss either, while Mayweather does as well as the hand speed to land first. Mayweather is way more capable of scoring pts and getting out then Cotto is. So Margo's volume punching style will have more success on Cotto then it would on Mayweather.

Mayweather has fought a ton of pressure fighters in his career. Margo hasn't fought a ton of elite athletes with excellent hand speed in his career. He looks great against guys he can accumulate volume on but like most he won't look as great against guys who can make him miss and have the hand speed to collect pts. And once that ability to accumulate volume goes out the window so does his chances of winning that fight. If Margo had some pure boxing ability to go along with his pressure style then he would be on a higher level.

We will agree to disagree :good, until next time Lance :p

Margo: Andrew Lewis, Cintron, Clottey, Cotto. Loses against Williams, Pac, Mosley.

Mayweather: Judah, Baldomir, Hatton, Mosley, JMM, Ortiz. No loses.

Definitely Mayweather. Especially considering he's been a welterweight for less time.

Best win between the two is Margarito's over Cotto. Overall resume at the weight and more impressive performances, it has to be Mayweather.

For Margo: is that supposed to be Clottey? When did Margarito fight Clottey?

You are twisting facts into your favor.

You forgot at that time Floyd was retired, Mosley was already beaten
by Cotto, so Margo beating Cotto made him the best WW at that time.
You cant name anybody who could have stronger claim to be called the best.

I'm always man enough to admit when the other guys makes good points, and you have. I would NEVER say it's a guaranteed win for Margarito. I think his rough housing would bother Floyd a lot too. But good post none the less. :thumbsup

Not in hater land. Facts and Reality don't matter, any boxer Mayweather hasn't faced is a fighter Mayweather ducked and would kick Mayweather's ass without much effort. And if Mayweather does happen to fight this person, they instantly become a shot bum who was cherry picked and the fight was also fixed.

:patsch hyperbole 'in defense' is just as pointless as what you are arguing against.
