What moment in it's history would you name as it's best and/or biggest moment?

If I named a moment, i'd name Ali tumbling Foreman to the ground in the Rumble.

But...it wouldn't be about one moment in all honest. It would be tens of thousands differnet moments. All those little glove taps at the end of rounds, all those embraces at the end of 12 tough rounds, all the opponents that put off their celebration long enough to be sure their downed opponent hadn't been hurt....that's a cheat really, but that's my answer.

My nominations for those not mentioned.

Foreman dropping Moorer must be pretty high.

Holyfield KOing Tyson was up there, also.

Fitzsimmons beating corbett was a monumental effort because of the sizes

Dempsey v Willard must be up there.

Louis v Schmelling II is worthy of consideration

    Johnson v Burns

    Johnson v Jeffries

    You what?

Hagler v Hearns was one of the best tear ups ever. A truly great fight between two of the best boxers from one of the best eras.

Hearns' power wasn't overrated ; he broke his right hand in the first round and Hagler's chin was second to none.

hagler did go down , just not in that fight .
toney's chin , is second to no chin that ever graced d mw division .
hearns smashed his hand cause it was long , thin and fragile .
floyd , royd and cautious gay had brittle hands 2 , so does it make them deadly punchers ?

I never even suggested that Hearns dropped Hagler and we all know Roldan's knockdown was really a slip. Toney's chin is, indeed, as sturdy as any, but what has that to do with Hagler?

Just because Hearns had trouble with his right hand I don't see how his power is overrated; he was one of the best finishers ever. You can't measure Hearns' power by comparing his hands to Floyd or anyone else; for example Malignaggi has some of the most brittle hands ever, but he was never a puncher to begin with.
