He has been knocked out by Pacquiao for over 2 years already but he still can't leave it behind today. He keeps telling people how sad he felt about that embarassing loss as if it kept haunting him all the time. Actually, it was his terrible mistake to fight Pacquiao that way (moving forward to attack his opponent all the time without any defense). IMO, his fight plan looked very much like commiting a suicide. I suggest him to consult with a psychiatrist to help him forget about it. Win or lose is just a common thing in this kind of sport.

He thought he was going to walk through Pacquiao for a spectacular victory to steal the P4P #1. Stupid gameplan, either his own arrogance or as a result of Sr instilling it in him that Pac would be a walk over. Cotto tried the same thing, though not as recklessly, he was just as stupid not respecting Pac's power.

when a man hits bottom, it is always hard to get back up. hatton is suffering from depression or was and is trying to get his life back on track. its part of being human. we all have our trials and tribulations. u win some, u lose some. the key is to get back up, dust yourself off, and keep on going

Because he really thought he will maul Pacman.

Then just to be brutally disposed within 2 rounds just like that.

I seriously wonder if rematching Pacquiao will help him. Sure, he'll lose again, but if he can avoid being blown out in the first 6 rounds, I think he'll feel better.

Hatton is a proud fighter. So for someone like him to be annihilated that quickly, probably cut him deep.

i agree with this observation. remember the "same move everytime" video. he and sr underestimated pac big time. cotto did not, but made a tactical mistake of engaging pac.

Hatton has to forget this loss one way or another. First of all, he should stop talking about it with people.

champions arent usually the best of losers.... Hatton is a winner by nature, of course its going to devistate him that he was destroyed in front of the world like that. What he needs to do is realise that it doesnt define him, or his career.
