But presumably Murray wants the fight? So it isn't that terrible. I think Murray is making a mistake, but I don't think he will be fighting against his will.
No, I didn't say that, I don't think that it is good promoting, I think that it is cashing in on Murray now that he is not the undefeated world title prospect the media said he was pre-Mitchell. His promoter is in this for money, and Murray showed his level last time out. I'm not saying that this is good for Murray, at all, and I expect that his promoter knows that. All I was saying was that to say that he is being horrible, feeding Murray to the wolves, suggests that Murray has no vote and does not want the fight. The loser of Mitchell-Murray was always going to lose some career momentum, his promoter's agenda has always been to make money, I just expect that as this fight has been made Murray must want it, so it is not all his promoter's fault. So Murray is not the victim of his promoter's malice, here, he is a willing participant in a big fight being made. I expect that his promoter sees money and Murray sees glory. Either way, it's a joint decision.
People have been getting banned for using "VV" indtead of "W" at the beginning of a certain fish-eyed promotors name. If I was you I'd go back and edit my posts where I used "VV." Some of us found this out the hard way. :-(
I wont get too excited about this. Murray will not take this fight after a knockout loss. Rios will end Murray in 4 rounds.
Really?! Crikey, this is a draconian universe in which we live. I wasn't even being rude about him! I think if I were to get banned for that then I probably wouldn't bother come back. Life's rather too short to set oneself up for being judged by people who clearly don't have enough going on in their lives... Can't see what's wrong with it myself so maybe I'm just not cut out for this forum cut and thrust. But thank you for the tip, you're clearly closer to the cutting edge than I am. At moments like this, it's like I have a guardian angel watching over me, Bryn.
Murray Rios is a great fight in the future. However at this moment, Murray needs a come back fight against a top British fighter where he can try new things - feinting, moving his head more, blocking more shots, working behind a jab, going to the body and putting good combos together.
spot on, personally I think murrays not far away from being a very good fighter. Getting a beating might humble him, convince him that the macho stuff can only get you so far and dedicate himself to learning his craft
