fan and i've followed nearly his whole career. There was a time when I thought Carl was a heavy handed boxer who won his fights because of his heavy hands but since he has stepped up to world level its been more about his skills and adaptability rather than his heavy hands.

Just wondered what you guys thought of him and whether he thought he was a more powerful puncher than what he is because of his success against British and Commonwealth fighters. If he'd boxed against Kessler like he did against Abraham and Johnson he would of probably won that fight but he decided to go to war.

So what are your views on Carl Froch and is he in the P4P top ten fighters in the world???

if he beats Ward he enters the top 10 i think. he could of fought the Kessler fight better and he knows that himself he didn't do the right things but that's also down to great work from Kessler. his power is more accumlative at world level, he doesn't throw punches with the snap and form he should he's rather wide which works for him but at same time takes away from him power. i've always wondered how much the ACL he had operated on has taken away from his power.

he's defensively not as bad as many say he just likes to fight more then box and his awkwardness and belief helps him beat top smw's.

    Froch a G!

He is in my top 10 based on opponents beaten. If he beats Ward, he could well enter my top 5. He won't win tho, unfortunately.

The Carl Froch talk has been done to death. There is nothing else to say until after the Ward fight. Maybe the debate can resume on Nov. 6th.

If Ward hadn't got cut opening doors with his head, the 168 division would have been shaken up in 4 weeks time.

I've seen nothing in Froch that makes me believe he can win this. His low gaurd and relative low output mess he'll be tagged all night I'm afraid. Obviously I hope I'm wrong.

The only person in the division that could beat ward is Dirrell IMO

Probably not the most skilled fighter Britain has produced, but he has a great fighters heart. Some very good wins of late on his record, and some great performances too. Think most people will speak positively of him.... apart from Scott Gilfoid.

No he couldn’t! He’d be running for his life and getting mauled on the inside. Dirrell is as mediocre as they come, no matter how fast he is. He’s just not a fighter when it comes down to it.

Bute’s got a better chance of beating Ward because he’s a good counter puncher. But Ward will likely beat Froch unless the Englishman can find a way to land regularly enough to hurt his opponent.

Dirrell's a punk ***** he couldn't even face Ward let alone beat him. Ward would ravage him like a 1/2 chicken at nando's ffs

  12. Does anyone think Dirrell will actually fight again?

It's been nearly two years and he's not exactly a young pup, is he?

Plus, a bit like Ortiz I don't think he really wants to be a fighter, it's more a case of him stumbling upon something he's quite good at and can make good money from.....

i think hes just immature, both as a fighter and as a man. maybe he will grow up in both respects and become a decent fighter because he has some good tools at his disposal.

he doesn't wanna know pal. he was on that on the ropes show other day talking about wanting to face a soft touch basically first up. he doesn't like being hit and has felt Abraham's power and Froch's rough tactics and thought i don't fancy this. his brothers more of a fighter then him he wants it more.
