Whether you agree with it or not, Khan has already earned the Mayweather payday. Providing he wins his next few fights - even if they're against bums - the Mayweather showdown has been more or less written in stone. And based on current achievements, Brook is on the same level as Matt. SO fighting Matt instead of him, really isn't that big of a deal. In fact, it's probably the more sensible option. He garners much more attention because of his brother, and he'll be easy to negotiate a deal with. Whereas Brook - promoted by Hearn - will ask for a bigger piece of the pie.

To be honest, Matthew Hatton is no better than Khan fighting Paul McCloskey, so people shouldn't be so against it. Hatton's been European champ and went the distance with Saul Alvarez, and tbf, didn't look like he got absolutely dominated. I wouldn't mind it if it was his debut. The fight with Kell wouldn't happen anyway, as Amir's team don't want to deal with Matchroom and Hearn wants Brook to have a world title before he fights Amir so it won't and can't be Brook for his debut.
i think its the kind of things like one team not wanting to work with another team that turns many people away from boxing......its kids tricks imo, pointless.....they might not get on with one promoter or someone on the team but fights make money and so do the teams.........i just wish all this bull**** would make its way out of boxing.......i mean they are grown men, not kids in the playground!:deal i dunno!
