It matters nothing how the injury happened.

Fact is that Vitaly showed that he was the far better boxer.... and the fight showed us that if they fought 100 times Byrd would be happy to win one ... and that one he could only win in one way.... that Vitaly somehow twisted a knee, tore a ligament somewhere, or got a huge gashing wound in his face from a glove or er head.

Those things can happen in boxing, but they are rare... and the fight showed us that Byrd could never win on points nor could he even KO Vitaly.... so only chance would be through one of these rare instances.

 

Stylistic nightmare? What are you people talking about. This fight was heading into a wide UD decision in favour of the Ukrainian.

Byrd caused the injury to Vitali in the same way as Calzaghe's opponents caused Cal's hand injuries [i.e being the person getting punched!]

Vitali got injured by something that Byrd had no control of. Vitali, uninjured, destroys Byrd. This has nothing to do with styles, Vitali has faced people who were faster and had better defensive styles and Vitali ultimately punished them.
