If he (Jones) blasts through Machida, there IS no one else in the division (well maybe Shotgun deserves another shot)
Hendo, King Mo, Evans, Davis. Im not saying theyll beat him but just because hes beaten supposedly better guys doesnt mean that he should be given a pass over the others. Also his defences so far have been fairly routine.
Thats ridiculous to say. None of those fighters are anything like Hendo or rashad. When i said defences i meant his last few fights. Shogun is his only really good win imo and theres always going to be doubt over that due to his surgeries etc. Page was hardly deserving of a title shot if were honest. If he cruises through the machida fight then sure hes a great fighter but that doesnt mean he should then bypass fighting the other top fighters in the division.
Unless Jones moves to HW or Silva retires soon, I think Jones-Silva is bound to happen because fans will push for it as there really isn't any competition left in their respective divisions. As much as I am a Silva fan I don't see him beating the bigger Jones who will most likely GNP his way to a UD win. Hope I'm wrong though. If Silva wins it would truly and undeniably place him as the GOAT in my book.
Hendo is a great fighter, but way too small to trouble a giant like Jones Rashad is a damn good fighter for his size,...
