We all want to see Mayweather V. Pacquiao, but let's think about the outcome. If this happens what will come next for the two & for boxing in general? They are both the best fighters in boxing, but although it's entertaining for the fans it doesn't make sense for them from a business standpoint.

It's about the money too. If they fight they reach the pinnacle and nothing will be better. Yes, they will both get the biggest deal in sports history, but if they're not ready to retire yet there's many more fights and more paychecks to collect, and this MEGAFIGHT will always be an option. (I feel like both fighters have a lot of fights left in their career). After they fight there won't be another match up of this magnitude for a VERY long time. It would bad for the sport. It limits what both fighters can do with their careers. Also, less viewers will buy PPV because it won't be very likely that the sport will be as entertaining because no match up will compare to mayweather v. pacquiao.

You could argue that they could fight each other more than once, and see who comes out on top after the series of rematches, but the one thing preventing that is Floyd Mayweather wants to keep his undefeated record.

As much as I hate to say it, and as much as I want to see the fight...it's better for them not to do it at this point for the sake of the sport. As long as they don't fight we all keep watching all these other fights leading up to when they finally do meet up. It's big revenue for all of boxing, both mayweather, pacquiao, the promoters, and all of the fighters we watch who are on the undercard for mayweather/pacquiao fights benefit too. more viewers, more money, the more the sport of boxing benefits.

We all look at it from the standpoint of fans with a huge love of the sport, but we all know that boxing is a big business at the same time...they're probably doing what's best for both of them careerwise & indirectly for boxing in general.

I think them not fighting yet has actually been good for the sport. The anticipation is so high that they are earning money never before seen just fighting decent fighters.

If they fight who knows what the earning potential will be for the loser and the winner.

How do you catch a chicken? Pac is still chasing the woman beater Void. Void is void. Void is a woman beater! When is Void's trial for beating up a woman?

That's for the fighters to think about. Not for me, I just want to see them fight. What do I care I won't get a cent from their supposedly much higher earnings.

I can understand their viewpoint. But as I fan I don't have to approve. Why would you?

I'm just getting tired of the same old mayweather is ducking pacquiao and pacquiao is taking steroids. I'm tired of those idiots who have zero facts to back up what they're saying and they're just talking as a FAN and sounding dumb making no sense...

I'm guessing you're one of those people. At least my explanation makes sense.

Same goes for FARMBOXER farther up on this thread.

i think them fighting will create a lot more money, especially if it turns into a vicious rivalry, could be the fight of our time.

I'm a big Pac fan, but can you think of reasons he has any shot at beating Floyd?
