Seven and a half years ago. That was before his long winning streak. Jackiewicz lost three in a row that year.
Wow these UK commentators make the HBO commentators look completely unbiased. Brook 1-0 Rafal didn't open up at all in the 1st round.
Jennings and Ted Bami both beat this bum about 6 years ago the padded record of Kell Brook rolls on, when the **** is he going to step up? I would rather him fight Craig Watson or Lee Purdy than this bum.
Round 2 Brook is jabbing straight onto Jackiewicz's forehead and moving aside to narrowly slip the Jackiewicz jab. Right hands to the body by Jackiewicz find no target as Brook keeps circling smoothly to his left while shimmying and lolling his head. Jackiewicz can't locate his jab and seems desperate already to find something else. Big thudding lead right by Brook squeezes just through but is caught up between Jackiewicz's gloves. Brook now circles right and reaches over the top with an overhand right dropped atop Jackiewicz's head. Brook is letting more shots go now, falling in with lead rights from the outside and always letting flow a steady stream of jabs. Jackiewicz is cowed back with a flurry over his guard and then resumes coming forward while ducked low. Tie up, and Jackiewicz roughly palms Brook across the mouth before the referee orders them apart. Jackiewicz is marked up on the top half of his face. 20-18 Brook
And since then he has won the European title and defended it twice, beaten the likes of Jackson Osei Bonsu (Prime), Jan Zaveck and Delvin Rodriguez (ok it was a dodge decision but point still stands). This is a decent step up, you shouldn't go from fighting the likes of Krzysztof Bienias, Philip Kotey, Stuart Elwell etc. to Amir Khan, Mike Jones without fighting some experienced gatekeepers that are ranked between 10-30 boundary because that would probaly end up badly for Kell or any fighter when he steps up and is found to be cold and too inexperienced for that level.
So this is what Eddie Hearn was on about when he signed Brook and said " it's time to step up" so fast forward 6 months and he has been fed two over the hill punch bags, do you think he will get a fighter with a pulse before he is 30 years old?
