I like Moneys skillset better than Hearns.Money is a better thinker in the ring than Hearns was and he uses his skills as an extension of his brain. Hearns didnt do that.:bbb:bbb:bbb

The reason he was ko'd because he left himself wide open to haymakers, it was terrible defence in close. Barkley was a gatekeeper at MW, in Hearns 3rd weight class, he's pretty much around a Gatti/Ortiz level fighter

He got KOed because he chose to slug it out. fact. He could have run and used his reach but he opted not to. why? hes the type of fighter who always looked for the KO.

barkley was a top guy @160. hes got good lateral movement and A-level combos/hand speed. a 147 version of him beats gatti and ortiz anytime anywhere

Skills alone it's got to be Floyd. The Hitman relied more on power.

Could you imagine if Mayweather had to deal with Hearns in his prime? He and his team think everybody who hits hard is on something illegal. They would go around proabably accuse him of taking horse steroids or something. Hearns punching power was crazy at 147.

Floyd and this poll really shouldn't be close.

That said, Hearns would KO Floyd with relative ease.

He would've never stepped into the ring with a guy that dangerous. Pacman is his Hearns.

As for the answer to this poll, Floyd without a doubt.

It goes without saying that mayweather would never touch somebody like hearns, but Manny does not have Hearns punching power with one shot. Not that close, really.

why do people assume slick defensive skills equals better technical boxing? andre dirrell can ***** out and be too slick to get hit for a whole fight, doesn't make him a great boxer. and i think people overlook hearns' skillset due to his tendency to be aggressive,he was probably the best boxer of that time, except maybe duran

Are we talking about Hearns at 147. Some of you posters need to watch some of his fights at that weight. He was fast and powerful. Why bring up Barkley when Hearns skills was much better at 147 that would give PBF much trouble and could even stop PBF. PBF is prime was at 130 though.
