Why are Polish fighters said to have glass jaws ?

    Would you say that they are generally not tough enough mentally and just ***** out when it gets tough ? Black fighters are much tougher.

    It's nothing to do with mental toughness (unless we're talking just Golota) and everything to do with punch resistance. Unfortunately for Poland, the majority of their highest profile boxers have had disgraceful glass jaws.

    In fairness though, Proksa is looking excellent, but the acid-test will come when he takes a proper shot to the mandible.

    look at adamek for example he ran around the ring against vitali, got knocked down by arm punches and then quit.

    even shannon briggs put up a better effort.

    I'd love to see you qualify that statement considering that the only "high profile" boxers out of Poland are Golota, Michalczewski, Adamek, Sosnowski, Wlodarczyk, and to some extent Wolak. One of those men is a nutcase, four of them have excellent chins, and one of them is average.

    Polish fighters are known for having some of the best chins in the sport. Anybody who says otherwise is either a boxing newbie or possesses the British china chin complex. (relentless would be primary example)

    It's mostly brough up by the British fans, because their fighters are often bashed because of their feeble chins. So it's more a way to deflect attention as anything else.
