You must be referring to the return bout because Spinks won the first fight legitimately. I actually thought it was relatively clear. He outworked and outlanded Holmes. A wonderful victory, against all odds.

I had Holmes winning the rematch as well, as did most. Spinks won the first fight, though. No question about it. Out-boxed the boxer.

Consider Spinks the better fighter at his best light heavyweight form, but Holyfield's longevity and depth of his resume probably edge it slightly for me. Very close.

Spinks fear of Mike Tyson caused him to crumble by the first solid shot Mike landed.

Spinks fear of the K2 would have him failing to attend his prefight presser, followed directly by his trainer announcing that he is not ready for a fight of this magnitude in his career.:deal

    But yeah, the 26 y/o 175 lb Mike Spinks would UD the 11 y/o 175 K2.

You're insinuating that K2 is a more intimidating fighter than '88 Tyson?

That version of Tyson would have had Wlad shitting himself and with the way he fights would have been a quick KO for that Tyson.

Make sure the door doesn`t hit your backside on the way out.

Spinks fought in one of, if not the toughest LHW era ever. And he dominated. He was unbeatable at LHW. A true phenom. Holyfield is a remarkable fighter, but he's not on Spinks' level. If you lived through that era you would remember how Spinks was discussed. He was like a prime RJJ, only fighting the best LHWs ever, not gatekeepers and cabbies.

No, I believe MASTER trainer Teddy Atlas was insinuating that. and judging by the FACT that Wladimir has been BEGGING top contenders to fight him, I think the situation speaks for itself.

What were are witnessing is UNPRECEDENTED DUCKERY!:deal

Everything here is true. Especially Holyifeld never being on Spinks level at LHW.

You might be getting just a little ahead of yourself with some of those statements, although as I've said I also rate Spinks above Holyfield.

Just a tad. I wasn't around for Spinks' prime, but I've seen a great deal of it on film. He wasn't seen to be as infalliable as Jones. The likes of Yaqui Lopez, Marvin Johnson, Eddie Davis, and Jim McDonald all enjoyed a fair bit of success against Michael Spinks, who was no stranger to losing the opening few rounds before finding his range.

Yet Holyfield would have had no problem beating The K Brothers and would probably have knocked out Wlad.
