I can do 22 of those kipping pullup things(tried it only a few times, don't judge me):D. It is amazing how much the numbers decrease when done the right way.

What gloves do you guys use?

My hands turn into ever peeling shark skin. I use weight gloves, but it doesn't help much on the fingers.

I can do about 17, but they are a bit sloppy, my arms are only 3/4 extended. I can do one not very good looking chin up with one arm.

18 with good form but I rarely do more than 12 or 14. I prefer to add weight not reps.

Usually around 10 good form ones. I think my record is like 11,12.

Workout gloves, which look extremely gay. Don't get cheap ones, you will really feel the difference between the 5 and the 15 euro gloves. They will last for years, it's really a small investment that pays off every workout.

I did 27 pullups yesterday (163lbs), but I cheat. During the last 10, I don't stretch down all the way. I recon I could do 20 in perfect form. Strangely, I can do only one or two more chinups than pullups.

Me too. I am absolutely terrible at them!

Does anyone know a good plan/programme to build pull ups up to 10-12 from my current position of 2?! thanks

It not rocket science. Just do 2 then rest a couple of minutes and then try to do another 2 if you can, and just repeat. I started of only being able to do 3-4 and used a 3 sets of 3 reps routine and gradually built up to my current level. Once you can bang out 10 reps start adding weight and you'll see a good improvement in the number you can do consecutively.

Try holding yourself at different points of the movement for 5 seconds or so. Focus on your weakest point.
