..I'll post again!!! Lindsay was as good of technical boxer as I have seen., Harry Hawkins and myself were the coaches with the Irish tean in 2002. Lindsay beat the number 1 ? 2 in America..one was Rasheem Jefferson and the otherI don't remember(punchy), I thought Lindsay would have went to Harry, because they really gelled
Unfortunately I didn't get to take part in the conversations on this thread during the week as i had to sit in the bold corner:roll: I think we all will have learned a lesson or 2 from these world champs. I certainly have! We must remember that, despite all the funding and training the high performance boxers get, they are still only human. Had paddy barnes beaten that first lad and lost to shimming he would be qualified for London now. I still think he will qualify no problem next year. He just had a bad fight (like anyone can), just a pity it came a fight too early. Conlon imo could very easily be world champion now. He lost by only a point to Selby, who only lost by a point in the final! Ray moylette had a bad fight, but none of us can doubt his credentials. Had he won that fight, his whole championships may have been different. Cammarelle was apparently robbed by Joshua (who only lost by a point in the final). So ultimately Cammarelle is still probably the best in the world at the weight. Considering that Con sheehan put it up to him in only his second international fight at the weight is a great sign. Give him another few months at the weight and when he fills out even more it could turn out to be the best decision he ever made by moving up! He looks very strong now. My guess is he's around 98/100 kgs. Could be 110kg by London if he qualifies Also, dont know if anyone noticed, the aussie lad Damien Hooper who Joe ward fought a few times in the last few years made the quarters. He lost by one point to the cuban.....the eventual winer!! I tell ya, one or two punches (i.e. one or two points) can make such a difference! I reckon we cud still be sending 7 or 8 to London

Ta, I was thinking of if there was any pubs that regularly show the boxing though? The majority of pubs in Glasgow if you ask them to stick on the boxing on a Saturday night they'll tell you to get to ****.
