The phone thing is typical Atlas. He's so ****ing stupid and out of touch he did not know caller ID existed yet. Creepy ****.
e argued like this, back and forth, for an hour-and-a-half. And then, after all that, he suddenly said calmly, I was testing you. I was testing you to see if you would break under pressure.lmao
He pulled that stuff with Michael Moorer, who is a bit slow of brain, and let Atlas get away with it. Moorer was already top fighter, a champ, and Atlas was anybody, but Teddy convinced him he had to be constantly tested. :? I admire Tyrone Trice, who split with Atals after only 2 days. Trice was number one welterweight contender from Detroit, was in line for title shot, and signed with the late Mike Jones (former Cooney manager) Atlas was friends with Jones, so he got training gig. Trice came to New York, cause Atlas insisted on it. He had to train first day of arrival, cause Atlas said Trice needed to show he was serious. Second day, same thing. Trice wanted a day to settle in, and also hook up with some woman, which Teddy said no to. Trice said **** you, not in words, but by showing up with car full of women at gym in brooklyn. Atlas s told everyone Trice had no courage, no character, would never hold out in title bout. Trice went on to have two epic bouts with Simon Brown for title, at leas tone was fight of year by Ring magazine. He lost, but two tough fights, brave efforts. Funnier part is, Simon Brown had dumped Teddy after only two fights, saying he was an ******* who was ****ing up his training. . Atlas had responded by saying he had no courage.......character....and all the usual **** he runs. Simon Brown had won title under trainer Pepe Correa, and his management fifed him to hire Atlas. Broan was always pissed about it after he could not get Correa back when Atlas was fired.
Teddy's a very angry dude. He knows boxing, but to me, he's likely the looser of the two cannons in questin.
I have always liked Teddy Atlast. :nod Admittedly, because I think he's completely out of his ****ing mind. I don't know how he made it this far in life. It's impressive to me. Like watching a guy from the special Olympics winning at the regular Olympics.
