    almost, is just that, "almost"

it doesn't mean nothing, shane "almost" knocked out lil floyd and look what the result was

Maidana may "almost" knock out cotto at 140 (and probably would knock him down), but it doesn't mean cotto would lose

manny and lil floyd aren't true welters, but we all know how nicely they fit there

Maybe so, but I still think he will move up, especially if khan moves up.

cottos weight problems started before the corley fight where it took multiple goes to make weight and maidana got outboxed by 70 year old corley, jus sayin.

  5. yes but maidana has little boxing skill he relys purely on brute force power and endurance , mayweather and pacquiao both box well and dont rely on power , what im saying is if maidana doesnt carry the power hel get chopped to pieces

yup, ESPECIALLY when khan moves up

    Maidana still chasing him

  7. i disagree while i know maidana would love the khan rematch , if khan moves up he vacates the belts and maidana being a top man at 140 would have a great chance of taking the top spot at this weight NO chance at 147

Early 140 Cotto beats Maidana easily. The later 140 might loose because of weight trouble.

Filling in the vacant top spot wont earn him the big pay day he is after and seeing how khan cant even keep his mouth shut everytime marcos makes a move Id say its likely they could meet again......This is why the Guerrero fight was so important...**** that was going to be an awesome fight:-(

Maidana's power is way overrated his power doesnt even come close to randall bailey and cotto handled him fine. Cotto breaks maidana down and finishes him mid to late rounds.

Good point, I don't even think its competitive Cotto stops Maidana around the 5th or 6th round.

Cotto, different class. Too much emphasis being placed on Maidana's power. Everyone reacts differently to different punches, from different people...but Cotto took harder shots at 140lbs than Maidana can throw IMO.

Cotto picking up the win via the left jab and left hook to body and head. Cotto's best shots, but also the best shots to deal with Maidana.

agreed, that fight with the ghost was huge, could've been having another rematch with khan or a khan vs ghost, but instead we get peterson

Peterson is a bit unpredictable he might actually give khan some fits...Hopefully the Guerrero/Maidana fight gets made next year.
