Martinez Has Been Offered Career High Payday To Fight Pirog!

    Sergio Martinez has been made a lucrative offer to fight Pirog in Feb 2012 in Moscow Russia by Pirog's Russian promoter Pchelnikov, his partner Tivov, and Pellulo of Banner Promotions.

    Titov said Martinez is being offered such a sum that it considerably outbids all of his previous earnings including the amounts he recieved from HBO.

    "If they reject the fight it will not be because of the financial aspect, the money is there" says Titov. They are now waiting for a response from Martinez's promoter Dibella

    I'd want to see some numbers here. He's guaranteed over 2 million for his next fight regardless of the opponent because of his extension with DiBella. Also genuinely curious how Titov can make that offer considering how small-time boxing is on the TV networks there.

    I'd rather see Sergio fight Mayweather, and it wouldn't be running if he accepted that fight over this one.

    This is definitely the next best thing though.
