    Well the boxing world lost a great fighter to retirment today, I think I can speak for everyone on ESB when I say, Good riddance you ****in bum!!!!!!

    No big surprise. He came back and won a title and defended it, then went after another piece of the world title and did not get it. With so many pieces of world titles in so many divisions. It gives others an opportunity to hold a piece of a title. No different than the Eighties. take that wild year 1986 in the heavyweight division and the parade of part time champions with a piece of the title.

    TIM WITHERSPOON over TONY TUBBS
    TREVOR BERBICK over PINKLON THOMAS
    MICHAEL SPINKS over LARRY HOLMES (and do not ask where Leon is?)
    TIM WITHERSPOON over FRANK BRUNO
    MICHAEL SPINKS over Steffan Tangstad
    MIKE TYSON over TREVOR BERBICK
    BONECRUSHER SMITH over TIM WITHERSPOON

    I'm all dizzy just looking at the heavyweight merry-go-round
    in 1986 with more of the same in 1987 until August 1, 1987
    when the underrated MIKE TYSON put an end to all of this nonsence
    and proved he was one of the best of all time, but still is not
    given his fair placement in the top ten of all time.

    So, David is no different than the likes of Witherspoon, Berbick,
    Bonecrusher and many others through the decades.
    Like many other ex-champions, he is treated poorly by
    many and maybe one day future boxing enthusiasts will
    appreciate his complete record and keep the personality
    issues in the trash can where they belong.

    If this is permanent, it is a ****ing shame. Although he was never a threat to K2, I had high hopes for him fighting the rest of the division. :verysad

    Great news if he has. Thought maybe a swansong though against Matt Skelton or Martin Rogan would of been a good way to finish off the career of one of the greatest heavyweight champions of the last......2 years. Sadly us people in Europe will have to put up with this ***** on Sky Sports boxing coverage or something. Lets just hope he ****s off to North Cyprus for good
