You keep harping on Manlys financial woes but we have won more flags in your life time than Souths have had winning seasons in the last 20 odd years

 

I think appointing toovey is just as much to do with keeping in favour with fans and supporters. If they do appoint cliff lyons and menzies as assistants then its obvious they are going with " favourite sons" to win support from the fans.


What's cliffys credentials...coached a grade? Menzies is still playing and hasnt coached at all.

 

Toovey's been assistant coach at Manly for quite a few years now, hardly just a case of keeping in favour with fans and supporters - he's proven himself with the Toyota Cup side in past years too.

 

True, but your board is under fire from disgruntled and irate fans.No doubt toovey being a favourite son of the club had something to do with his appointment.

I know little about union but even I know Cooper played **** against South Africa. But I would love to see Cooper do this if we win.

If you were anymore than a bandwagon supporter, you'd be already aware of this. :yep

 

One thing it could do is make it more likely that the off contract players wont jump ship.

It'll still be a tough job for him though, and there will be a lot of expectation coming his way.

Though I'd be funny to see Dessie rip the heart out of his former club by bringing across Foran and DCE.

Thats a big blow. He's been a great scout for Manly. I heard he identified DCE, and Foran and brought them to the club.

 

Id say he will go with des to the bulldogs.

 

Crusher has a fantastic eye for talent, was gutted when he left Parra years ago.

Rumors that parra ceo paul osborne has had an extra marrital affair with the wife of the pirtek boss ( sponsor).

I dont see a "happy ending" for paul.
