Cruiserweight Haye is a distant memory. **** him. Good con job. We made him rich. He'll die a happy man.

I posted this on the other thread but thought i'd put it here as well.

ESB, HOW WILL YOU REMEMBER DAVID HAYE

Ok, so i'm preparing another article on David Haye, just wanted to get a few quotes from you lot again, the best ones will be included.

How will you remember him? Does his poor HW record overcloud his achievements at CW? Is he right to retire?

I just don't rate Cruiser as a division.

Taking his wins there, and Valuev and Ruiz as a total Heavyweight ranking, he was decent. But if you included the best Heavys between 175-200lbs Haye wouldn't make the top 20.

how. he won the title 2nd time round agaisnt Wlodacyk when it was vacant. Huck is the only top fighter he beat and hes not paticularly good. got a dodgy win over troy ross in a fight he was losing. lost to the only elite fighter he faced. never unified the division.

Haye beat the legit world champion Mormeck in his home town. Knocked him out. Took on the highest ranked challanger and knocked him out. before that he beat legit contenders to get his title fight.

Nah, you're alright, and now as you've brought it up I will spam your thread with all sorts of criticisms.

If you can't take the criticism of your boy, maybe you shouldn't start a thread? All I'm saying is, he doesn't deserve an appreciation thread. In the grand scheme of things, he didn't amount to much, that's not 'slating' him that's telling the truth.

Wasn't he already at Heavy when Setanta went bump? I swear the Barrett fight was on Setanta

It was. Went bust after he signed to fight Klitschko the first time, which coincided with his injury.

For what he did at Heavy he would have been better off dominating Cruiser for a few years,

Yeah remember that , Setanta did a brilliant promo forth Klit fight.

I wonder if sky dropping ppv has helped him make his decision

Steve Cunningham has wins over the three other alphabet champs. How many other guys can say that today?
    WBC Champ Wlod
    WBO Champ Huck
    WBA Champ Jones

He was robbed in Poland in the first fight aswell and despite being dropped by Adamek that fight was damn close.
