finally the closet haye fan has, well came out of the closet...vitali adamak was huge.but in britain it just wasnt hyped as much...anyway id much rather see wlad no take care of povotkin and some other heavyweights before he retires and gives all the no hoping slugging fans wat they want and thats titles changing hands every other fight between sluggers with no skills who are great because they let people punch them on the face while they try to punch someone on the face...yea great skills

You´re always so negative and pissing and moaning about non-Brit -fighters in Europe.

I´m 100% sure that Wlad vs Helenius will be more entertaining than Wlad vs Haye or Froch vs Abraham. Wlad - Haye was a fight that more or less wasn´t a fight, because Haye ran and avoided taking risk´s and didn´t even try to win. Froch vs AA was a superb performance on Froch´s part, but AA´s "impotence" in that fight, made the bout in it self a bit too one-sided to be really entertaining.

When Helenius is ready (app. 1-1 1/2 year), IMO he´ll try to win, he´ll try to knock Wlad the **** out, he´ll have the size and strenght to match Wlad and HE´LL FIGHT. None of which Haye did.

And talking about Haye. Very good boxer, superb athlete, one of the best, if not the best, in thrash-talk (entertainer). I´d love to see Haye vs Vitali and I´m not buying his announcement of this permanent retirement.

I'm talking about on ESB. I remember on the week of the fight thinking "why are there so few threads?" because even I was surprised that so few people cared. On ESB, with all the rabid, delusional Klitschko fans, discussion about the second biggest fight involving them, was minimal. It wasn't 1/10th as anticipated as Wlad/Haye.

    That tells you something.

The division is done. It's dead.

haye vs wlad broke esb's record for most users ever online at one time

adamek vs klit was just another boxing match.

the entire general forum was filled with haye-wlad threads even forcing pacweather threads into the second and third pages.

That's the thing though - I'm not criticizing Helenius, Povetkin or either Klitschko. I'm just telling it like it is. There may be good fights out there but are there any which will grab peoples attention? No, I don't think there are.

Any potential fight will be met with apathy. Nobody cares about these second tier guys who are going to challenge, and lose, against the Klitschko's. It's just a dull cycle. Guy beats a few journeymen, gets hyped, beats a challenger, gets a Klitschko fight, loses and disappears. It's boring.

    Yep, absolutely.

People say that Haye didn't give the division what we promised but he did. For one night, he brought back serious entertainment to the division. He got people from all over the world talking about a heavyweight title fight, which hasn't happened since Lewis was involved in a bout and won't happen any time in the foreseeable future.

If you question whether or not he could have beaten Vlad you are a moron. If he didnt keep diving he would of been KO'd.

I'm as guilty as anyone on here of putting Haye down prior to his fight with Wlad but I gotta side with Jack.

He had his faults but I'd rather a Heavyweight division with him in it.

Wlad had absolutely no interest in getting a knock out that night. None.

Yeah, I completely understand why people would dislike Haye and I don't mind them for doing that. Anyone who can't criticize Haye is incredibly biased anyway but boxing is entertainment and Haye was the perfect 'bad guy' to the Klitschkos 'good guy'. It worked and people would always be interested in seeing those fights but now what future is there? I actually feel sorry for the Klitschkos because the division now lacks any interest until one of them loses, so it's a bad situation for them to be in. They'll continue to dominate but, sadly, none of the fights they're in will be able to attract anywhere near the attention that Wlad/Haye did or Vitali/Haye would.

It's sad but this is the truth. There is no other fight that will become a huge event.
