Well quite, fair point - I have been wondering that previously, but that was before I knew about the drink driving and knife prosecutions.

Now I completely get why Murray is getting the big shot & stand corrected.

 

Rios said they tried to get Mitchell instead of Murray but Mitchell couldn't enter the US.

really hope he gets through this tough time and wins a world title as he has more than enough talent to do it.

 

Trouble is that much of the tough time is self-inflicted. I see where you are coming from, but he is already going to have to persuade a champion to come over here, or fight in some other European location, as as someone else has mentioned he now won't get a visa for the US. So he has cut his options dramatically, anyway, already when it comes to world titles.

Travelling to the US for title shots isn't something Frank's fighters do often anyway. Especially when he really wants them to win.

Realistically he needs to be sent down in order for him to learn the hard way.

At the minute he's living the dream life, being paid a nice lump of money every few months, doesn't matter if he blows it because he'll just fight and get it all over again.

His list of indiscretions is alarming.... weed, drink driving x2 (or is it 3?) and now carrying an offensive weapon.

 

Agreed, but by the time he got out he would have missed the boat when it comes to boxing, would have no money, and would soon slump back into this sort of lifestyle, only this time without the boxing. He's just too old for this sort of nonsense if he wants to be a professional sportsman.
