And IMO, the Adamek fight was not particularly close either.

No....but I would say it was probably 7-5 or 6-6 + the knockdowns, I had Adamek winning clearly by a couple of points.

Cunningham has looked poor every fight I've seen him in. What is he supposed to be good at?

 

He doesn't deserve an appreciation thread on ESB, seriously Is this place really that important.

Anyway, the guy dedicated his life to boxing for many years, that alone deserves appreciation.

That's because Jamie was an honest pro who didn't spend his entire career mouthing off and conning his fans.

 

:deal id say jamie contributed at least equally to boxing, how many of hayes fights would you watch again and again? how many of jamie moores? so what if he didnt win a world title, his efforts are more appreciated by me than hayes

 

Iv got all of Davids fights. Supported him in every single bout. But he took the **** and he knows it.
Since David turned pro he said he'd retire by the age of 30. If he's going to retire after his last few debacles then just retire quietly and go off into the night with his millions and leave boxing to the fans. The guy has spent more his career talking than fighting.

 

spot on, ive been a big fan of hayes, bought his ppvs, with the exception of harrison, that was a bridge too far for me, and was vocal in my belief that he could beat wlad, on the proviso that he'd give it a go, if he went out on his sword id think fair enough, but he took the **** and it was an embarassment, think of all the fans that spent hundreds to go over and watch him avoid wlad for 12 and then blame it on his toe, he lost a fan in me big time and i couldnt care less if he retires or boxes on

 

In my opinion he is either the 2nd or 3rd greatest Cruiserweight in the history of the division behind the Real Deal Evander Holyfield maybe Qawi.

 

That's not saying much considering short and fairly unspectacular history.

 

As much as I would like to say that is a load of bollocks, I just cant.

 

I don't think he was a bad heavyweight either. He had a bad attitude as a heavyweight but in the ring even if he was more cautious he was still effective up to a point and I do believe he would beat all the contenders out there aside from the Klitschko's, but unfortunately he hasn't gone about proving it.
