White,black,yellow,purple or whatever, I could care less what color a fighter is. My fav fighters include two whites, two asians and a black one. What I dont like is cheaters: Vitali,Jones,Mosley,Toney,Holyfield,Vargas,Margarito and so on.
Your pretty spot on except I have Vitali around 11-12, and Haye would be a H2H nightmare for 70s and below HW's. That's just the facts my man. Ali would outclass him.....Frazier KO him, George would brutalize him, but the other contenders would be outclassed by his speed/power combination. If Haye fought in the 70s, 60s, 50s, 40s.......we might be ranking him in the top 10 ATG list b/c his athleticism is such that those guys just couldnt keep up IMHO:good
It's laughable to place Vitali in with those cheats. Vitali, as an amatuer fighter messed up his knee. He was a kickboxing champion along with his burgeoning boxing career. He got a steroidal cortisone shot in his knee to give him mobility as an amatuer fighter.. Vargas and Mosley doped up on stuff like Dianobal which gives a man incredible muscle-building capability. Vargas transformed himself into as he jokingly referred from a fat Mexican American into an adonis. He playfully posed with his shirt off prior to the DeLeHoya fight showing off muscles never before displayed on his normally chunky frame. Mosley openly bragged about toying with 350lb. bench presses as a jr. welterweight boxer. Both Vargas and Mosley and many others got caught as pros cheating with roids. Vitali has not. Stop trying to pretend that Vitali's success as a heavyweight champion all these past years is due to anything other than his sublime boxing skill, his great chin and his mental toughness. Big bro is an alltime great who happens to not have as much mellanin as other alltime greats.
Good take......the roid Vitali was taking was for muscleskeleto repair not for muscle building. Also, he admitted to the commission and to his teammates that he would likely fail the test......but both the commission and his team rallied him to at least try, and now, 18 yrs later, he's beaing called a roider for taking a common anti-inflammatory.:-(
