From 99-04 lewis was the champ

From 06-11 wlad is the champ.

Over the last 12 years there's only 2 that haven't been ruled by lewis and wlad and they were split by byrd and vitali.

Saying he's dominated for a decade is just wrong.

 

Perhaps because Lewis chickened out of a rematch which George Foreman who worked on HBO as a fight commentator figured would be the biggest purse in prize-fighting history. Big George was so disgusted by Lewis that he pretty much called him out as a coward for backing down from an obvious and highly lucrative rematch.

 

Wouldn't really call retiring at age 38, after defeating everyone you fought in one of the strongest heavyweight eras in history, chickening out.

Lewis was on the slide, vitali was on the up. Why take a beating when you have nothing left to prove?

For every knucklehead spouting ATG non-sense there's an equally knuckleheaded response about them sucking.

 

The truth is, vitali lost. He struggled with the style, got injured and quit.

However it was 11 years ago and was well before vitali's peak run (donald-williams). He showed his heart and fortitude against lewis and he showed a better handle of the style against johnson and adamek.

I'd love to see him face haye win might be as adept at head movement as byrd was, then we could really see if vitali can be patient and pick his shots.

Vitali is gonna make the hall. He's at a stage now where it doesn't matter if he loses because of his age, yet every victory enhances his legacy.

 

why be patient he should get to Haye early and put leather on him and make him wanna quit early in the fight than be patient and let him prance around and run track

Vitali has a better offense and higher out put and better chin than Wlad no need to be patient
