No doubt Sonnen is the first guy to have no fear and be relentless. Even Okami was a massive bottle job.

Most of these guys have neither the talent or skills to match up with Silva and yet that doesn't encourage them to just go after it.

What an embarrassment Okami was for the being the best fighter from Japan. The fear was so strong with Yushin in that fight.

 

He's a good fighter, but a piece of ****. Roids, money laundering, racism..... He's got a great resume.

 

If you take away his wrestling he has close to non standup.
He clipped Silva 2 times cuz of those tds and i got to admit he did it nicely as Silva was expecting him to go for the td and got clipped

I would, chances of getting taken down is alot higher than subs and a flying knee coming in. Odds are about 50/50. Silva the better fighter, Chael has the style adv. Silva may turn out to be a slight fav in Vegas though.

You guys are all basing this on emotion not facts. Silva cannot defend a takedown and mount from Lutter and yes Seagal wont help him one bit.

But then again Chael is a meathead based on being ahead 4 rounds to 0 and begged to be submitted instead of staying away.

Somethings still fishy with that fight I tell you. Who the **** is way ahead in a fight and put himself in a position like that. Its not as if Silva brought the fight to the ground.

You are basing this on emotion now not facts. Chael cannot stop anyone above C+ level on the ground and his submission defence is worse than Silva's TDD as he cannot defend a sub against Trevor Prangley

 

Yes agreed he beat them but as witrh Edgars case, theres vulnerabilities esp when youve been been preying on people with no takedown game. Hendo had unbelievable success in the first but didnt go for the TD in the second and got clipped instead. Lutter was just the Michael Jordan of BJJ, he got the mount and said **** it let me give my neck.

A guy who's exhausted, has **** sub defence and thinks it's a good idea to defend strikes from the bottom by overextending your arm after taking one on the chin that's who.

A. Sonnen would never pull a "Kaleb Starnes", he's just too prideful for that.
B. He just beat the living **** out of the guy on the ground for 20 minutes, and given who the opponent was, his safest spot in that octogon for that 5th round was the ground.
3. I agree, Segal cannot help Silva in the rematch.
