No need to apologise mate. I do agree though he didn't intend to harm anyone with the knife, I would go as far to say I reckon he was saving it for someone!!
Quite possibly true, trouble is that the courts would simply view that as him being an accessory to any crime committed with the knife, so it's no better in terms of his legality.
He might just be one of those people who thinks its "cool" to carry that sort of knife, show it off a bit, even if he no real intention of ever using it.
I've got a mate who's got a Samurai sword and he has had it in the back of his car before!! Some people like collectiong that sort of stuff!!
Yeah, I've got a mate who keeps a spare golf club in the back of his, just for emergencies like.... You don't "collect" stuff in the back of cars (except old McDonalds cartons), they are usually there as weapons. If you are daft enough to have a butterfly knife as <ahem!> "decoration" then you probably deserve what you get from the police.
mitchell doesnt seem paticularly fazed by all this. he has been on facebook all the time posting updates etc. not the sign of a man about to do a stretch.
I thought its been dealt with Rob? The crazy thing is he's paying a £200 fine off at £50 a month, Frankie mustn't be paying him enough!
I like collecting various martial art weapons, sword, nunchuks, daggers but I don't keep them in my car atsch
That's not that unusual. There was a Rangers footballer caught speeding in Glasgow a few weeks back and he pleaded poverty, asked if he could pay his fine back £50 per month.
You'd think with the whole "knife culture" and with all the people being stabbed lately he'd have more sense than to drive around with a knife in his car, not an ordinary knife but one not available to buy legally in the UK. In my opinion carrying something around with you is halfway there to using it.
Maybe he made a mistake there but the way some people have reacted in this thread is laughable i.e. he was using it for protection, he's ruining his career etc!!
