If Khan beats Peterson will he have the best 140 recent record better than Hatton?

All very good....exept that Tsyzu was ancient, inactive, washed up and couldnt really give a **** by the time he fought Hatton.

How so? Hatton beat Paulie doing what he always does, grinding him down. Khan beat Paulie at his own game, outboxing him on the outside which is the more impressive feat. Having Paulie rated at no.2 at that time just shows how poor the JWW division was.....

Khan did to Malignaggi what he does to everyone else, Box on the outside.

So how can you give Khan credit for doing his usual, but not Hatton?

I'm far from a Hatton lover, but his win over Malignaggi was better than Khan's

Because Khan beat Paulie at his own game, everyone knows Paulie can't break an egg so Hatton just walked him down & bullied him into submission, no boxing skill required. Conversely, Khan outboxed Paulie which was a display of his greater skill set, therefore the more impressive victory. Paulie has said it himself, he has only ever been outboxed twice in his career, once by Cotto and the other by Khan.

Point taken, i understand where your coming from with that.

Paulie was just regarded higher when Hatton beat him, and many people were saying Malignaggi was gonna' box Hatton's head off (i was going for a Hatton UD), but everybody pretty much knew what was gonna' happen when Khan fought him

Cotto record @ 140 was more impressive. Cotto won against some undefeated fighters.

Anyway, the long & short of it is that Malinaggi whilst being a good scalp for both of them is not one of their best victories.

I agree, it's their only common opponent though...

Personally i'd have Hatton ahead, but that could of been different if Khan and Bradley had of fought

Where are my words that suggested otherwise? I was in fact referring to Go Getta's statement that khan would be known as the best 140lber if he beat bradley.

But since you mention it I don't quite agree with the fact tsyzu was completely washed up and couldn't care less. It was a decent win for Hatton thats about it. Basically both Hatton and khan are over rated as 140lb ers in my mind but so far Ricky just about edges it.

I think Khan would overtake Hatton, yeah. A win over Peterson would definitely move him ahead of Bradley for me.

As far as Malignaggi, he always blamed McGirt for making him fight in a foreign style for the Hatton loss. Fighting by ducking down low and staying in close, rather than using his legs. This could simply be bitterness on his part but he did always give Cotto and Khan full credit.

By the time his career ends, Khan should have comfortably overtaken Ricky.
