stop sipping the kool aid here....

    martinez strengh>pacquiao strength
    martinez speed=pacqiuao speed
    martinez size>pacquiao size
    martinez chin>pacquiao chin
    martinez defense>pacquiao defense

I'm not talking about in a p4p sense... if both guys were the same size... I'm talking about pacquiao as he is vs martinez how he is.... I just can't see how pacquiao is better

You forgot offense. To beat a great defensive fighter like Floyd, you need to be a great offensive fighter. Pac > Martinez in this department.

martinez strengh>pacquiao strength - true and Martinez's biggest plus in a fight against Floyd
martinez speed=pacqiuao speed - I say Pac is faster
    martinez size>pacquiao size - true
martinez chin>pacquiao chin - true but not so much a plus when you go up against a defensive fighter
martinez defense>pacquiao defense - true but not so much a plus when you go up against a far superior defensive fighter

I think you should use "dangerous" instead of "better." I feel Martinez is the more "dangerous" fight, but Pacquiao is the "better" overall fighter in a p4p sense.

I know what you meant though.

exactly.... but better offense is only comparable in a p4p sense.

not in a true to size comparison

Pacquiao is far more talented and skilled than Sergio.

The only reason some would consider Sergio to be more of threat to Floyd, is because of his size, and his size alone. Being two weight divisions bigger gives him advantages over Floyd that Pacquiao doesn't have.

Its his size, if Martinez was a 147 boxer he would not beat Pacquiao, allthough he would put up a good fight.

Those three things highlighted above are obvious because you're comparing both fighters in an unfair ground. If they fight @ middleweight/openweight, that case can be right. But what if both fights @ welterweight? Should you're cases above still be correct?

    Let's put it this way:

You're like comparing Hopkins to Klitschko by your way of arguement
Should we say Klitschko is better than Hopkins?

Try to pick an elite supermiddleweight and try to compare them to a heavyweight, lets say David Haye in an open-weight comparison and try to compare them in your criteria above. How would the answer be like?
Should we say Haye is better?? :-(

Well, for starters Manny throws like a million more punches per round and doesn't take rounds off.
