Also add the fact that he is a very small HW (heaviest is 214 but usually fights closer to 200) and he has only ever been stopped 3 times in his 36 losses. He is tough and has some good skills.

I always wonder how far Page could have gone if he lost that 'opponent' mind set.

When Barretts not fighting a top name he does good. Usually.

  7. There are a ton of them. They serve an important purpose. It's gotta be sad to know that your job is to lose but those guys are tough mother****er. Tougher than David Haye! Barett is a good fighter and a nice guy too. I really like Monte. Ahunanya is too.

Have a look who Page has fought in his last 30 or so fights.

    http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=255014&cat=boxer

It's basically every up and coming contender in the heavyweight division. He basically has fought about half of the current top 50 heavies and usually takes them the distance.

Here's some of his opponents here. Notice they are all on the verge of a title shot or have already had one.
Edmund Gerber, Fury, Fred Allen, Charr, Juan Carlos Gomez, Luis Oritiz, Yoan Pablo Hernandez, Derrick Rossy, Kober, Seth Mitchell, Pulev, Victor Bisbal, Mike Perez, Boswell, Banks etc...

    marion wilson was quite unique.
33 years of age before turning pro
fought every prospect taking them the distance and being short and light for a heavy.
but of course you named him as the benchmark

    derek chisora to a degree
michael sprott /although now he gets stopped whereas he used to always take the prospect the distance.
best is most probably sherman williams / tough as old boots journeyman

High level journeyman must be Takam.

The fact that recently a number of people sidestepped him shows he's up there.

I think a guy like Kassi is filling a similar role at the minute.. I do however see Stiverne as the kind of durable guy who may turn into the kind of make or break opponent of the future..
